This recipe has really been a life saver. As a mommy sometimes we are very limited on time. This recipe has low carbs,veggies and whole grain. I eat dinner 7pm or before with a light snack a hour before bed if I am hungry.

Lets start with chicken breast. For me it is all about seasoning. I love seasoning. One thing I have cut out when seasoning my chicken or fish is salt. It is something you should eliminate when trying to get rid of that stubborn stomach fat. Salt does nothing but add an unwanted belly and bloating everywhere. Well that is if you eat too much. But you get the picture.

Garlic Chicken Breast

  • 2 lbs chicken breast
  • 1-2 tbs garlic powder
  • 1- tbs onion powder
  • 1/2 green bell pepper
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 2 tbs Italian seasoning
  • 1-2 tbs pepper
  • olive oil

Rinse and pat your chick dry with a paper towel. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil on each chicken breast and rub it all over. Then apply each of your seasonings on both sides of each chicken breast. Finally sprinkle your chopped onion and green bell pepper over the chicken. I even like to place some of the onion and bell pepper under the chicken. It gives it a delicious flavor.

Brown Rice- Your whole grain :-)

A Veggie of your choice

 My babygirl loves green beans and corn so that is usually our veggie choice.

Don't forget another key to your weight loss is portion size. It should not be bigger than the size of your palm.I hope this helps as a meal idea! It's one of my family faves.

Low Calorie Alcoholic Beverages

Unfortunately there isn't a fat burning alcoholic beverage. Wouldn't that be lovely!?! Everyone would party and lose weight instead of the opposite. But there are several recipes that allow you to enjoy a drink here and there without ruining your weight loss progress. Also, without the annoying bloated belly the next day. Check out the list below. And feel free to share your favorite "Skinny Alcoholic Beverage".

"The Skinny Margarita" - 180-200 calories

This is my all time favorite. Since I love margaritas this is the best low calorie choice. This is my go to drink when I go out to bars every once in awhile. I sometimes ask the bartender to put a splash of raspberry or strawberry juice in it to make it just a little sweeter. And I then ask them to reduce the amount of orange juice. That is my effort in reducing my sugar intake lol. Hey! At least I am honest. Most of your calories will come from the Tequila. So it is totally up to you!

  • 2 ounces (1/4 cup) tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces (3 tablespoons) fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon light agave nectar
  • 1 lime wedge or round, for garnish
  • you can add kosher salt as well.
Fill your cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the tequila, freshly squeezed lime and orange juice and agave nectar. Put on the lid and shake for 30 seconds. Strain the liquid into your glass and garnish with a slice of lime. I think you'll love this guilt free fun margarita!

"Skinny (sugar free) Daiquiri" - 125 calories

This is awesome! When attempting to lose belly fat or any fat for that matter sugar- free is the way to go! Would love to hear your opinion on these. I found it very refreshing.

  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 Tablespoon lime juice
  • I jigger rum (1.5 oz)
  • Sweetener to taste (depends on how sweet the strawberries are)
  • Small handful of ice (not needed if berries are frozen)
Place all the above ingredients in the blender and enjoy. For the Beer Lover:


I am the girl that hates beer LOL I have tried it with Lime or with an orange. It is just not for me. My husband, mother and father love it! SO this is for the other beer lovers on a diet.

  • Guinness – 125 calories per 12 oz
  • Blue Moon- 171 calories per 12 oz
  • Bud Light Lime- 116 calories per 12 oz
  • Bud Light Platinum- 137 calories per 12 oz
  • Budweiser- 145 calories per 12 oz
  • Busch Beer- 133 calories per 12 oz
  • Dos Equis- 130 calories per 12 oz

Red Wine: Each a 4oz Glass

In my opinion the calories in red and white wine isn't so bad. As a matter of fact Red Wine has a few benefits. Red wine contains a good amount of antioxidants. It will help with your cholesterol and digestive health.
Resveratrol is found in red grape skins and appears to be the source of red wine's health benefits. It may prevent fat accumulation and reduce insulin resistance, which lowers the risk of diabetes. Not bad right!?!

  • White Zinfandel at 80 calories a glass
  • Chardonnay at 90 calories a glass
  • Chablis at 85 calories a glass
  • Sauvignon Blanc at 80 calories a glass

The Master Cleanse: The Lemonade Diet

 The first time I came across this diet I was reading this was how Beyonce' loss weight quick for a movie role. I thought to myself. Why not try it out? I have will power. My motivation at the time was a modeling career and I really wanted to jump start my diet. It really worked for me. I lost about 5 lbs in 5 days. I then continued on with a nice clean diet and lost another 15 lbs.
If your plan is to use this diet as a cleanse and you have plans to eat clean after finishing your 1-2 week journey on the Master Cleanse. I say go for it! I do not recommend using this diet to help you lose belly fat quick just to digress back to eating foods that are detrimental to your diet. That is a waste of time. This is just my opinion. lol This time around my motivation is my wedding. Using this diet has given me more energy and you really feel cleansed once your Lemonade Diet Journey has come to an end. The fact that my belly is flatter is a big plus!

 This Diet contains my favorite word again. Detox! Yes and that means waste will melt away from your midsection. Yes, this is a belly blasting diet. Considering you are only drinking a lemonade concoction. Anyone's belly should shrink from drinking nothing but lemonade. I would not recommend going over 14 days of this diet. You will miss out on a lot of fiber, vitamins, minerals etc.

The plan calls for you to drink 6 or more servings daily of the lemonade drink. The only other options are a "salt water flush" of 2 teaspoons salt mixed in a quart of water in the morning, and an herbal laxative tea at night, if needed.
  • A single serving of the Master Cleanse drink consists of:
  • 2 tablespoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons grade-B organic maple syrup
  • 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 10 ounces filtered water
After following this fast for 4-14 days, dieters are urged to slowly ease back into eating solid food, starting with items such as vegetable soup, followed by fruits and vegetables. I would love to hear you feedback on this diet. Let me know how your experience went.

Women and  some men  are haunted by the infamous bloated belly. It can be so discouraging to be on track to your weight loss goal but still have that annoying belly fat. Besides exercising your abdomen with crunches and sit ups, here are juices and smoothies that help get rid belly fat. Drinking smoothies and belly fighting juices is one of the easiest ways to get rid of belly fat. You don't have to break a sweat or take any harmful diet pills. Here are a variety of smoothies and juices that I enjoy making for myself. As a full time mother, time is limited so it is very easy for me to grab a smoothie from the refrigerator that I made the night before. If you have children then you know they can be quite a handful. You can make many of these recipes prior to when you need them , put them in the freezer, and take them out when you need them so you won't have to try to work the blender and handle your child or crazy work schedule at the same time. Good luck! 

1.  Simple Lemon and Warm Water

This is something I already do when I wake up every morning. I take a half of lemon and 8oz of warm water. Stir it up and Waa La! Lemons are high in fiber and vitamin C. This simple drink can make a big difference in your digestive system. Not only that it reduces hunger cravings. I don't know about you but I have a horrible sweet tooth. So anything that reduces cravings is a must have!

  • 1/2 Lemon 
  • 8oz warm water

2. Blueberry Flaxseed Smoothie

Singer's Fergie and Nicole Scherzinger both drink this smoothie to help keep their bodies looking fabulous. If you love blueberries, this one is for you! Blueberries are packed with vitamin C and Fiber. Flaxseeds have fiber, antioxidants and is rich in Omega 3- fatty acids. And you know what that means? Less Bloating! HAAAAalleluiah!

  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tsp organic agave nectar
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 cup cold water 
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 banana 
  • 1/2 tbsp flaxseed oil 
Place all the ingredients in order as listed above. Blend on low for 10 seconds or until smooth and enjoy!

3. Healthy Green Juice

Hollywood loves their green juice! Seriously, google green juice and you will find a lot of celebrities have their green juice in hand. If this is the secret to weight loss and being slim and trim I am so ready to drink up! Not to mention the ingredients help flatten your tummy. Anything that will help get rid of bloating is my friend. The spinach is a big plus too. I don't mind veggies but I never eat enough. So putting it in a delicious juice or smoothie is like killing two birds with one stone. Belly fat blasting and nutritious.

  • 1/2 bunch spinach
  • 1 handful watercress
  • 1/2 lemon peeled
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 2 apples
  • 1 in slice of ginger
Place all the ingredients in a juicer and serve. Don't have a juicer? Make a smoothie instead! In order to make a smoothie you will need your blender. Chop your apples and remove the core. Chop the celery stalk. Peel and chop ginger. Zest and juice the lemon. Combine all the ingredients and blend on high until smooth. Add water or ice to thin out the smoothie.

4. Oatmeal Smoothie 

 This is awesome for breakfast! Especially if you are always on the go. A lot of people forget that eating breakfast is essential when trying to get those pounds off. It doesn't have to be something big or complicated. Just eat something! This smoothie recipe contains ingredients that will fill you up but it is still low in calories. Hope you like!

  • 1 cup ice
  • 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 plain low fat yogurt (Greek recommended)
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup coconut water
Place ice and frozen raspberries in the bottom of the blender. Place all the other ingredients on top. Blend and enjoy. :-)
